Grape variety

Site: at the northenmost limit of the Beaujolais appellation; one of the most reputed Crus of Beaujolais.

History & tradition: a charming tradition makes it the perfect wine for Valentine's Day!

Soil: pink granite on a steep slope.

by Véronique Boss-Drouhin

Easily recognizable for its beautiful purple colour and typical aromas of violet and musk. Ample and round on the palate. Long aftertaste, with intense fruit.

2021 Beaujolais wines show pretty bright colours with a purplish reflection and deliver aromas of red and black fruits mingling with slightly spicy notes.

Vintage review

Supply: this wine comes from grapes and musts purchased from supply partners according to rigorous specifications.

Harvest: grapes harvested by hands. If necessary, a careful sorting is proceeded in the vineyard and at the winery.

Vinification: traditional for Beaujolais, semi-carbonic maceration, full bunches of grapes. The maceration lasts 4 to 10 days.

Ageing: in stainless-steel vats for a period of 10 to 12 months.
