SAINT-AUBIN

White

Saint-Aubin is located in a little valley of its own, behind Puligny and Chassagne. It is not as well known as its famous neighbours, but it is slowly gaining widespread recognition among the cognoscenti for the exquisite delicacy of its wines.

The vineyards are located high upon slopes facing South, South-East, South-West and North-East.

Although a red wine is made, it is the white wine of Saint-Aubin, made entirely from the Chardonnay grape, which brings out the best in this appellation.

Saint-Aubin blanc is pale gold in colour with a slight greenish tinge.

There is a wonderful, lingering, hazelnut or grilled almond quality on the nose, followed on the palate by a velvety smoothness and a round, harmonious finesse and elegance.

It has rather good ageing potential : 4 to 6 years, and even more in a great vintage.

Saint-Aubin is a gem which deserves to be discovered.
