CHAMBOLLE-MUSIGNY
The Pinot Noir grape is vinified in the typical Burgundian style : slow maceration (18 days) with daily pumping over and punching down of the cap to extract the famed "goût de terroir" of Chambolle. After 18 months in barrels and fining with egg-whites, the wine is bottled. The wines of Chambolle have always been highly prized for their finesse and elegance. The colour is lovely. Aromas are very complex and evoke violet, cherries and humus, with blackberry and noble tannins coating the palate. Extremely well balanced, the wine has a very persistent, rounded finish. With age, the aromas turn to mushroom and underbrush, while conserving all their finesse. |
