This last vintage of the Twentieth Century witnessed exceptionally good conditions during the growing season, with a higher than usual temperature. The crop was abundant, healthy and ripe, with grapes that were particularly delicious. The same conditions prevailed throughout all of Burgundy. This was one of the great vintages of the last century.

WHITES
The wines are evolving very favourably. They are very open on the nose and display good complexity. To drink now.

REDS
Just like 1990 and 1961, this is a vintage to keep for your children. Good balance, acidity and tannin will help them evolve slowly. Some villages are ready to drink now. Decanting is advised.
