Cote d'Or and Chablis
Due to high temperatures, the vine is growing fairly quickly. In Côte d'Or, the flowering stage is already reached, which means we are some ten days ahead of 2008. In Chablis, flowering has just started. The sanitary conditions are very good up to now.
Last week, some areas were hit by hail storms, sligthly down Chambolle-Musigny and more seriously along the road between Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin.
At this period, hail can only affect quality as the fruit is not set, but it makes the task more difficult for the vinegrower.
