Beaujolais Nouveau 2013

18.06.2013
Summery weather has arrived at last in Burgundy and Beaujolais.
Sunshine accompanying relatively high temperatures for the season has delighted everyone and allowed the vines to start growing at last.
It's impressive to see how leaves have developed on the vines in the space of a few days.
The development of the berries is going well and the first counts of the clusters, which are still small, allow us to envisage normal yields.
The leaves are not suffering from disease, which proves that in spite of the changeable weather, phytosanitary treatments were effective.

Flowering should begin any day, and be at its peak around the 21st of June.
This leads us to believe that the harvest should begin around the end of September, which is later than usual.

The next update will be after the flowering.
